It’s been almost a month since Hawaii started the pre-test travel program on October 15, and the so far the results show that it is operating safely without any large bumps in numbers. Travelers taking the pre-test program are required to carry out the test at a designated medical institution 72 hours before arriving in Hawaii and have a negative test result prior to boarding the final leg of the trip. As an extra precaution, randomly selected travelers will asked to voluntarily take a second test after arrival. The number of positives in this second test is 1 in 1000, which is very low at 0.1%. Hawaii is adjusting and adapting to the new normal with COVID and is slowly moving forward.
Today, we would like to introduce another recommended outdoor event venue that can safely address the three conditions that facilitate the transmission of infection (closed spaces, crowds, and close contact).
