In 2019, Travel Plaza Transportation launched a new fleet of electric buses and HiBus Trolleys. We are the first private company in Hawaii to operate the electric vehicles. We partnered with the Blue Planet Foundation and local schools on the artwork that is proudly displayed on the vehicles. In 2019, we were the proud recipient of the Honua Award presented by the Blue Planet foundation to an individual or organization who made a significant contribution towards accelerating Hawaii’s transition to 100% clean energy.
